Here you will find a few novels that I've written during slow periods when I was in need of a different creative outlet. In these stories I do my best to highlight non-Eurocentric cultures and share stories of people who live outside of the heteronormative experience.
Ritem couldn't make sense of the peculiar barrier that he could see but couldn't touch. Every time he pushed through it he was taken to a different place, each more baffling then the last. It took several trips before the pieces began to fall in place. By then he was forced to accept that he alone would have to make the ultimate sacrifice to prevent the extinction of his race.
Safia learned the hard way that being better then the boys was dangerous. But when the war took away her father, she learned that she could use her skills to ensure that other young girls did not lose their fathers. But this gift required constant vigilence, lest she once again find herself staring into the cold lifeless eyes of a dead man. Neutralizing the attacks by the invaders without becoming a murderer herself was the greatest challenge of all. She must not fail.
Gelf was the healer for her village and well respected. So when the chief summoned her to be the next seeker she was understandably confused, for she was no adventurer. But with the blessing of Adeima she managed to learn of the strange people who were feared to threaten her village. No prophesy from the oracle though could have prepared her for the life-changing knowledge that accompanied these strange people. Nor could she have imagined becoming a leader of an entirely new hybrid civilization.
Centuries after the first visit from the strange tribe which saved the lives of Gelf and her kinfolk, a new threat emerges. However it's not clear what the source of this threat is. All the people know is that the stranger who visits their village is different from any other person they've met before. Not until Gelfetia is once again blessed to share prophecy with her people does the first clue emerge. She and the whole village will need a show of strength and resourcefullness never before seen among their people if they hope to survive.
René had left his family and his best friend behind as he set off on a small adventure. However he ended up with much more then he bargained for when the strange storm turned his entire life around. Follow his supernatural escapades through strange and unbelievable lands as he struggles to find his way home.
This is the fictional prequel to my book 'Climate, Cows, and Cars.' This haunting short story will strike fear into your soul and leave you on the edge of your seat. Then the ending will blow you away.
